Quartz is a man-made stone that comes in a wide range of colours and offers a high degree of colour and pattern consistency across the range. It is virtually non-porous and stain and scratch resistant making it an exccellent material for worktops.
Quartzite is a very hard rock composed predominantly of an interlocking mosaic of quartz crystals. The grainy, sandpaper-like surface is glassy in appearance. Quartzite is a decorative stone which is used for kitchen countertops, to cover walls, as roofing tiles, in flooring, and for stair steps.
